The Katinas- Sam, Joe, James, John, Jesse | Co-Founders

Sam, Joe, James, John, and Jesse are the Co-Founders of Love Squared Missions. Raised in Oceanside, Ca., they lived to American Samoa for about 10 years, where their parents are from. At a young age, they began their ministry through a different medium- music. Their dad taught them how to harmonize and they became the worship band for their father’s church. Touring started mainly to Samoan churches in the U.S., New Zealand and Samoa, wherever they were presented with an opportunity. Towards the end of 1987, they moved back to America to be with their mom, who was battling cancer. She passed on in April, 1988 and they have been here touring the US and the world ever since.

What started out as a mission to do whatever they can to help anyone in need, over time became a more focused mission, centered on the next generation. A purpose heavily influenced by their kids and their mother. In the early stages, they teamed up with other organizations like Samaritans purse, Josiah's house/Grace Chapel, and Camp Agape and New Hope prison ministries to reach out to inmates and their families.

Love Squared Missions is the mission of not only these 5 brothers, but their entire family.  Growing up in a home where faith and Loving God was taught and encouraged more than anything else, they’ve always tried their best to exemplify that.  However, their Mom was well aware that “loving God" was a lot easier than "loving people".  She was their inspiration and encouragement to "LOVE PEOPLE" just as much as they strove to "LOVE GOD".

“This has become our passion.  Our motivation.  We believe in the next generation.  With 19 kids between the 5 of us, it's our hope that our legacy will be that we instilled in our own children the value and blessing of "Loving God, Loving people and Leading well". -Joe Katina
